Circus, looks at human condition in a post-existentialist status, it wonders, bemuses and saddens. Wood which I carve has the imprints of time and it is simultaneously a witness and the subject of events that has occurred in time. It becomes a perfect vehicle to convey the form of a man that has become the sum of his presence across time and space. Platform defines this connection, it may have many shapes, it is what we call architectural. It may be a carpet, a floor, a stool or a wheel but it is a necessary element, it pins the man and in doing so it defines him. Circus opens up old questions and proposes new ones, it does not judge but it beholds the deepest love. | ||||
